Producing the “l” sound in Ezai is distinct from its production in English. Instead of initially placing the tongue in between the teeth it is placed behind the top teeth and flicked down.

The “t” sound is also distinct. The lips are brought forward and the cheeks are brought inward to create a sound that is more similar to the “d”.

The “kh/qh” sound does not have an English equivalent. The sound does occur in Arabic. The best way to describe it is as the sound you make when clearing your throat. For an example, click below.
